Power Camps  

The Power Camps (formerly FCA Day Camps) are FREE 3-Day athletic camps for boys and girls in Southern Illinois who are entering grades 5, 6, 7, and 8 in the fall of 2010.

Student athletes and coaches from area high schools and Southern Illinois University provide quality sports instruction and leadership. Power Camps begin at 8:30 a.m. and conclude at 3 p.m. each day.

The Perry County Power Camp is June 8 - 10 at DuQuoin Middle School. The first-ever camp in Union County will be July 6 - 8 at Anna-Jonesboro High School. The Carbondale FCA Power Camp takes place at Carbondale Middle School located on Grand Avenue and is scheduled for July 27 - 29 , and the Power Camp in Marion also is July 27 - 29 at Marion High School!

What do I get?
Breakfast and lunch daily, huddle meetings, sports clinics and competitions, awesome music, FCA Power Camp t-shirt, instruction from area coaches and athletes, inspirational speakers, an FCA Sports New Testament and More!

What Sports are offered?
Each camper gets to select two sports for specialized training sessions. Sports offered are:

      Baseball
      Basketball
      Soccer (not offered in Perry County)
      Softball
      Cheerleading
      Wrestling (not offered in Perry County)
      Football
      Volleyball
      Gymnastics (offered in Marion only)
      Track and Field

What about transportation?
FCA will provide transportation from pick-up locations for all campers who need a ride. If transportation is needed, please indicate on the registration and select a pick-up point.

What's the cost?
The Power Camps are absolutely FREE. There is no cost to participants.

How do I register?
Registration forms for the Power Camps are distributed through area schools and by mail to previous campers, as well as through Power Camp sponsors throughout Southern Illinois.

You may also register online! (Please note that parent/guardian signatures are required for all campers. Online registrants will be mailed this form).
Registration for next year will open in early 2011.

There are a number of ways to assist with Power Camps. In fact, it takes thousands of dollars and dozens of volunteers to conduct each camp. Here are ways you can be involved? ............................................

Coaches...

All of our sport-specific clinics are conducted by area collegiate and high school coaches. If you'd like to share your knowledge with campers during a three-hour block during the three mornings, of camp, please email the SIFCA office.............................................

Adult Volunteers...

There's a role for everyone at FCA Power Camp. Email the SIFCA office to learn how you can be involved. ............................................

High School and College students ...

We're looking for outstanding, responsible high school and college students with church backgrounds to serve our campers as Power Camp Huddle Leaders and Assistant Leaders. If you are interested in serving and can be available during the Monday morning prior to camp and from 7:30 to 4 p.m. each day of camp, please apply here.
