Roger Lipe, Southern Illinois FCA Representative

Roger has served with Southern Illinois FCA since 1994 when he became the region's first director. Roger operates out of the Carbondale FCA Office. Roger is internationally recognized for his innovation and leadership.

Roger overseas all FCA activities in Southern Illinois and is personal responsible for Gallatin, Jackson, Perry, Randolph, Saline and Williamson Counties.

The author of several books, Roger also serves as Chaplain for the Southern Illinois University football team.

Scott Tickner, Volunteer Staff Member

Coach Scott Tickner is native of Fairfield,where he played football and tennis for Fairfield High School. He graduated from SIUC in 1973 and began teaching and coaching football at Mt. Vernon High School that same year.  In 1977 Coach Tickner started the wrestling program at MVHS and served as head coach for 33 years.  

Coach Tickner  first became involved with FCA in 1975 and has served as Huddle Coach at Mt. Vernon High School ever since.  In May of 2009, Coach Tickner retired after 36 years of teaching and coaching at Mt. Vernon High.  

He continues to serve as Huddle Coach at MVHS and in September 2009, became a part time volunteer staff member with SIFCA, serving the counties of Franklin, Hamilton, Jefferson, Marion and Wayne.  He and his wife Bonnie reside in Mt. Vernon.  They have two married daughters.
