Legendary Bobby Bowden to speak at April 10 Home Team Banquet
Iconic NCAA football coach Bobby Bowden will be our featured speaker at the 2012 Southern Illinois FCA Home Team Banquet, April 10 at the SIU Student Center.

Bobby Bowden is known as much for his affable charm as he is for his
championship teams. Having coached young men in seven decades, he became the
second winningest coach in major college football history. Bowden guided
Florida State University to more than three hundred victories, two national
championships, twelve Atlantic Coast Conference titles, finishing in the top
five in the country in 14 straight seasons, and led the Seminoles to Bowl
Games in 28‐consecutive seasons during his 34‐year tenure.

Coaches and Spouses Appreciation Dinner is Jan. 29
The Annual Southern Illinois FCA Coaches and Spouses Appreciation Dinner is set for 5:30 p.m., Sunday, Jan. 29 at Kokopelli Gof Club in Marion. This free event is an opportunity for FCA to simply say "thank you" to area coaches and their spouses. Read more...

Carbondale Power Camp moves to June
After 10 years in late July, the 2012 edition of the Carbondale FCA Power Camp will be held in early June. It is expected that campers and staff will benefit from cooler temperatures and the earlier date will give campers more time to put into practice what they learn in the clinics and competitions. Welcome to SIFCA.org

The Fellowship of Christian Athletes is an interdenominational Christian Organization "presenting to athletes and coaches, and all whom they influence, the challenge and adventure of receiving Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord, serving Him in their relationships and in the fellowship of the church."

For many of those years, FCA in Southern Illinois has worked to advance Jesus' Kingdom through sport. Our focus always has been on four primary areas of ministry: Coaches, Campus, Camps and Community.

Through working with coaches, teams, players, athletes, small groups called huddles, churches and community volunteers, the Southern Illinois Fellowship of Christian Athletes is having a tremendous positive impact in our region.

Today, we encompass 26 counties, more than 60 huddles in middle schools, junior highs and high schools. We work with students from Rend Lake College and are actively involved in athletics and outreach at Southern Illinois University Carbondale. Hundreds of sponsors and volunteers are at the heart of everything we do.
